ICOM 2020 : VIRTUAL EDITION

We are happy to announce that we are participating at ICOM for the 3rd time. ICOM stands for International Congress on Membranes and Membrane Processes. This year is just a slightly different format, as it will be held online from 7th to 11th of December. We are present with a poster and a round table session:

Virtual Poster Session, Tuesday, December 8th, 6 AM – 8 AM GMT.

Come and attend our poster session “A novel approach to liquid liquid porometry for ultrafiltration membranes characterization” (P2.062). This highly interactive session and Q&A is a must for everyone who wants to learn more about this powerful technique to measure nano pores.

Round Table Session, Thursday, December 10th, 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM GMT.

If you are looking for a nondestructive technique to measure pore sizes, or an instrument to characterize the liquid permeability or gas separation properties of your membrane, then you are sincerely welcomed to join our Round Table. During this session, we will

  • Show our Porometer Application Laboratory,
  • Elaborate on differences between gas-liquid and liquid-liquid porometers,
  • Guide you to the most suitable instrument to measure the pore sizes of your material (membrane or any other filtration medium).

Register by 12.00 noon GMT on 4 December 2020 to follow the live event.

POROMETER IN THE ACADEMIC WORLD

We are proud to have many academics using our instruments, and it’s our commitment to follow their research and feature the scientific articles on our website.

At the moment, over 70 publications make a referral to the use of a POROLUX™ porometer in research fields such as membranes, textiles, batteries, filtration, water treatment, sintering, hollow fibers etc. You can find the list of publications on our >website. We encourage you to take a moment to scroll through the list, we are sure you will find research relevant to your work!
Is your research not listed? Please reach out and we’ll add it promptly!

THANK YOU!

2020 is coming to an end and this is our last newsletter of 2020. We would like to thank the many new Porometer users that joined our community this year! We are also grateful for the existing Porometer users who have trusted us again to expand their porometry capabilities.

It has been a strange year, a year with a lot of restrictions, a year where business was not as usual. But we have to be optimistic and hope things will get better soon. We sincerely hope we can meet again in the new year at one or the other live event. In the meantime, the whole Porometer team wishes everyone a healthy and warm holiday season, and a prosperous 2021!
